The Week In Wrestling Christmas 2010 Edition

This week in wrestling a lot went down. Most of which I've already forgotten, but there are a few stand out points you might want to recall from this week's wrestling offerings.

First and foremost, I DO NOT watch ROH on a regular basis. I want to. However, when you utilize the library as your main internet source, you can't really watch ROH and review them. Plus, I'm already reviewing a ton of shows so I guess ROH and other federations will have to wait until I get a job and get cable again, which doesn't seem likely any time soon.

Best Match of the Week

Sheamus vs John Morrison Ladder Match

This match was by far the best match I've seen in a long time. These two put on one heck of a ladder match in both impact and psychology. Sheamus worked the leg of Morrison, hoping to ground his high flying attack and Morrison by sheer will hit Sheamus with anything and everything that might slow down the beast. Sheamus took some sick bumps and Morrison dove through the air in such a spectacular way. I call it match of the year, but others will disagree. It really was special, and the best match of this week.

Best Show of the Week

Without a doubt WWE Raw was the best show of this week. Smackdown this week was also good, and the extended tribute to the troops wasn't half bad, but Raw hit a gear that was all too good. I loved Cena, I liked how there was NO Nexus, and things just ran well. Ziggler has main event written all over him, Cena is enjoying his role, which makes me enjoy his work in ring and on the mic. Raw was definitely a hot show and the crowd made it so much more memorable.

Worst Moment of the Week

TNA IMPACT ends without finishing the main event. I hate how the main event is cut off of Impact. I don't want to watch reaction and don't want to bleed into another show to watch what should be the main event of IMPACT. Tna keeps making terrible moves, and I for some odd reason keep watching. I'm not blaming Bischoff or Hogan, but there is something wrong over at TNA and it shouldn't take some random blogger to point that out.

That's it for this week, I hope you guys enjoy your Christmas!

Whether you hate John Cena or Love John Cena, you're going to probably want to check out The John Cena Experience 3 DISC DVD set or the BLU RAY High Definition John Cena Experience. The set contains 16 matches from all over Cena's career but most importantly goes behind the scenes of his life to show you just how much effort he puts into working for the WWE. The commercial was quite interesting and the set looks like something you'd want to pick up. If you're interested in the John Cena Experience click here to purchase it for cheap, it helps this blog continue and hopefully gets me an internet connection at home, because right now I'm using the old library in my town.

Thanks for reading! Leave comments, send emails my way, and subscribe to the RSS FEED right here, as we head into another great year of wrestling.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/26/10 Results and Review

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/26/10 Results

Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger
Alberto Del Rio defeated The Big Show via countout
Drew McIntyre defeated MVP
Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool
Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Rey Mysterio

WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/26/10 Review

The show started with the most boring man in professional wrestling, Kane. He cut a promo on Edge, and what not...I didn't care, you shouldn't care, the crowd wasn't really into it either. Edge came out and what not, and I didn't care...something about Kane getting on his knees...it was stupid. Kane vs Edge sucks, the beginning of this show was just terrible.

Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger

Swagger and Kofi went into a back and forth battle for the King of the Ring qualification. This match was quite good, it had a lot of action, I thought there were some serious spots, and after Swagger hit his shoulder on the ring post, this thing was over. I didn't really care for the finish, but it was actually kind of good. Kofi moves onto the King of the Ring tournament.

Alberto Del Rio defeated The Big Show via countout

Del Rio couldn't get the big man down, and couldn't win the matchup by force, so he had his ring announcer get involved and that forced Big Show to lose via countout. That's right, a countout win for Del Rio and he moves on to. Not a great match, but it will have to do.

Drew McIntyre defeated MVP

This match was ok, MVP had a hurt arm or something and Drew wins. Drew sucks, but somehow, someway, this match was semi-interesting. I don't think Drew McIntyre will win this match, but we'll see. MVP continues to be hit or miss, and well, he's a far cry from his "MVP" gimmick that was good a few years back.

Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool

This was a fluke roll up win, and nothing too special to mention. The match was ok enough, but Laycool got beat up by Beth Phoenix after the match. Phoenix had a knee brace, and she still managed to hit her finisher on Michelled McCool.

Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Rey Mysterio

This match was ok enough, it wasn't exactly a thrilling match up. It had a few good moments, and Mysterio works really well with a much lighter Cody Rhodes, then he would with larger men. Mysterio hit his spots nicely, and showed no sign of injury at all. Del Rio helped Cody Rhodes at one point, and Mysterio dove into Del Rio on the outside. That woke up an otherwise tired crowd, and the match went on to be a wortwhile main event for Smackdown. A ref bump caused this match to really kick into high gear, in which Del Rio took advantage and helped Dashing Cody Rhodes defeat the higher flyer with Cross Rhodes.

Judging purely by wrestling and the matches they had on this show, it was a great one. I actually liked a lot of the wrestling, and the finish of the main event was really done well. Dashing Cody Rhodes, Del Rio, Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre will be in the King of the Ring tournament, creating quite an appealing 3 hour show. I'm excited to see how it will all turn out, and of course, The Miz's first night on Raw as the WWE champion should be good too. Wrestling is actually good for a change, too bad TNA can't take note, and too bad KANE sucks. I liked the show...now back to sleep I go.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Edge ran over a fake Paul Bearer with a car. That's how the show ended...worst feud ever.
